Many athletes already do versions of neural priming. If they perform a ‘motor rehearsal’ of their movements or skill outside of context of performing. For example: dry swings in the batters’ box, doing a shooting motion without the ball at the free throw line, recreating racquet topspin with the wrist between serves, and even ‘re-doing ‘ a movement immediately after a 'mistake.' This shows they are trying to FEEL they ‘ why they missed’. A brief KAT session right before a movement lets the athlete update their body map (i.e. the proprioceptive mode) with the most recent and accurate information to master their sensorimotor space.
The priming can apply to an athletes bat, racquet string bed, club face and other sports equipment awareness.
