One would never try to cue an athlete exactly what to do with a golf swing, WHILE they are swinging. The human body's reaction time is too slow to benefit from interrupting a full-speed swing or movement with outside cues (yells, beeps or buzzes). The average human reaction time is typically 0.25 seconds to a visual stimulus, 0.17 for an audio stimulus and 0.15 seconds for a touch stimulus. (Utley, A. (2018). Motor control, learning and development: Instant notes. Routledge.)
Therefore part of dynamic skills can be separated in cued in segments. The KAT system can be used to bring awareness to the individual components of a movement, rather than the entire motion in real-time. The focus should be on finding the feel of each component and then integrating them sequentially into a complete motor pattern. See also: Skill progression
